A positive COVID-19 case has caused the Utility Building Office in La Porte City Hall to close until further notice.
Clerk-Treasurer Courtney Parthun said employees will be sent for testing. That resulted in the closure of the office, including the drive-thru.
All phone calls will be forwarded to employees and they will have access to email so any questions can be addressed. Residents with questions can email UtilityBilling@CityOfLaPorteIN.gov, or call 219-362-3175 and leave a voicemail.
Payments can be mailed, completed online, or by accessing the drop box in front of City Hall.
Parthun noted that utility payments are still due December 28.
