North Judson Christmas Tree Lighting Set for Tonight

The Town of North Judson says it’s going ahead with tonight’s tree lighting ceremony at Norwayne Field, but with some COVID-related adjustments. In a Facebook post Thursday, town officials say the Christmas parade starts at 5:45, and the tree will be lit at 6:00.

However, all of the festivities will be held outdoors this year. Social distancing will be required, and masks are recommended. There will be housewarming cookies or hot cocoa. Residents may also park around Norwayne Field and watch the tree lighting from their car.

There’s even a way for families who choose to stay home to join in the festivities. Santa will travel around North Judson starting around 6:30. Those who’d like to make sure their street is on Santa’s route are asked to let town officials know ahead of time.
