The Starke County Commissioners reviewed several quotes for a new truck for Surveyor Bill Crase. The previous vehicle was totaled in a recent car accident.
A quote from Team Chevy was for a 2021 Silverado half-ton, four-wheel drive pickup for $33,296. Two quotes from Lochmandy Ford include a 2020 Ford crew cab, four-wheel drive pick-up for $30,867, and a 2020 Ford F-150 super cab for $29,435.
The vehicles are brand new.
The commissioners approved a motion to go with the quote from Lochmandy Ford in Knox for the crew cab pickup for $30,867. The funding will come from the Cumulative Capital Development Fund.
