Starke County Council, Commissioners to Meet Tonight

The Starke County Council and Commissioners will meet in joint session tonight where they will discuss the Sheriff’s Department retirement funding and a transfer request from Sheriff Bill Dulin.

The government leaders will also review the 2021 salary ordinance for approval and consider transfer requests from the Prosecutor’s Office, Treasurer’s Office, Clerk’s Office, and the Highway Department.

Immediately following the joint session, the commissioners will meet in regular session where a second public hearing is planned for COVID grant money, and Starke County Highway Superintendent Rik Ritzler will have paperwork to sign for the projects awarded Community Crossings Matching Grant funds. A truck quote request will be discussed for the Surveyor’s Office and the commissioners will review the WTH GIS map.
