Starke County EMS Director Secures More PPE for County Use

Starke County EMS Director Travis Clary has been working Auditor Rachel Oesterreich and Health Nurse Frank Lynch in order to keep up with the PPE supply for the county.

Clary told the Starke County Commissioners Monday night that he was able to talk to representatives from the State to continue getting resources for free.

“I was able to go down to Indianapolis and get 1,000-2,000 surgical masks, N95 masks, KN95 masks, and gowns,” stated Clary.  “Unfortunately, they’re back ordered on gloves just like everybody is right now.  I wanted to make sure we were still filling out that paperwork and getting the PPE that our county deserves.  I’ll make sure that I continue to keep up with this until we get a new EMA Director.”

A new EMA director could be hired in early 2021.
