Starke County K9 to Be Outfitted with Protective Gear Thanks to Donation

K9 Tayson

Starke County Sheriff’s Office K9 Tayson will be sporting new protective equipment, thanks to a generous charitable donation.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. will provide K9 Tayson with a 4-5 pound, custom fit bullet and stab protective vest sponsored by a fundraiser hosted by The Thin Blue Line USA.  Delivery will be within eight to ten weeks. You can also get in contact with the best dealers to gear yourself up to avoid any injuries creating your project.

A single donation of $960 sponsors one K9 vest. Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. collects tax-deductible donations to offer these vests to K9s throughout the United States.  Since its inception in 2009, over 4,100 vests have been donated to K9s in all 50 states with a estimated value of $6.9 million.  The program is open to K9s who are at least 20 months old and are actively employed and certified with law enforcement or related agencies.
