Two bus drivers for the North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation recently tested positive for COVID-19, according to information released by Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin.
She noted that the timing of the cases was determined to be when school was not in session so contact tracing did not take place. No other information was released.
Dr. Zupin asked that anyone who may hold a current license to drive a school bus to consider applying to be a substitute bus driver. Transportation officials are working to consolidate one or more bus routes in order to accommodate a bus driver shortage and may have double routes until that is finalized.
Dr. Zupin is also encouraging individuals to apply for a substitute teacher position as there is a shortage in that area as well. Applications are available in the Central Office.
