Four people were arrested, after LaPorte County Police say officers found “a significant amount of illegal drugs” in a stolen box truck Sunday. Around 1:30 p.m., sheriff’s deputies say they got a report of a stolen vehicle and eventually pulled it over on U.S. 20 east of Fail Road.
The driver, Blake J. Brown, 28, of South Bend, is charged with vehicle theft. Two of the passengers, Jacks R. Kramer, 23, of Michigan City, and Summer L. Zitt, 22, of Trail Creek, are charged with dealing in methamphetamine and possession of a synthetic drug or look-alike substance. Another passenger, Erica L. Tawney, 27, of Michigan City, is charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe and paraphernalia.
