How to fill vacancies on some of North Judson’s boards and commissions was a topic of discussion during last week’s town council meeting.
Finding prospective members has sometimes been a challenge, particularly for the town’s unsafe building authority. Only two of its five seats are currently filled. Now, town officials have asked Town Attorney Justin Schramm to look into whether it would be legal to let council members fill the vacancies on certain boards.
Meanwhile, the town council chose to stick with the same leadership for another year. Council President John Rowe and Vice President Josh Brown were reappointed to those positions. Brown will also serve as the council’s liaison with the fire department. James Young will serve as its police department liaison, and Matt Brewer will be its utility department liaison.
The town council also approved the annual contract with Town Attorney Justin Schramm.
