The North Judson Redevelopment Commission could choose a buyer for the town’s short line railroad tonight. Midwest & Bluegrass Rail, Co-Alliance, and Columbia Rail submitted offers. Midwest & Bluegrass was the apparent high bidder and is also the line’s current operator.
The redevelopment commission is expected to discuss the disposition of the railroad real estate when it meets tonight. The meeting starts at 6:20 at North Judson Town Hall, followed by the regular town council meeting at 6:30.
Council members will get updates on the town’s efforts to get more COVID-19 Response Program funding for small businesses, as well as the planned improvements at Highland Cemetery.
