The Starke County Commissioners are hoping to fill a few empty seats on several boards and commissions. They are seeking willing Starke County residents to serve their county in several different opportunities.
A Democrat candidate is needed for the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, Hospital Community Board, P.T.A.B.O.A. Board, Starke County Convention and Visitor’s Commission, and Internal Controls Committee.
A Republican candidate is needed for the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, Health Board (two seats), Aviation Board, Hospital Community Board, Alcoholic Beverage Board, P.T.A.B.O.A. Board, Starke County Convention and Visitor’s Commission, Building Corporation, Park Board, and Internal Controls Committee.
Non-partisan candidates are needed to serve on the Starke County Drainage Board, K.I.R.P.C., and Library Board.
The Starke County Council members are also looking for Democrat candidates to serve on the Board of Zoning Appeals, Alcoholic Beverage Board and the Park Board. A non-partisan candidate is needed to serve on the Library Board.
Interested candidates need to turn in a Letter of Interest by January 15 to the Starke County Auditor’s Office.
