The Starke County Council and Starke County Commissioners will meet in joint session tonight where they will discuss several items following the reorganization of the council and they made their appointments.
The members will have a discussion concerning the Starke County Economic Development Foundation contract, along with an update concerning an invoice with J&K Communications. The council will discuss applying for the 3rd round of grant funding from the Office of Community and Rural Affairs, and changes to the job description, position and salary for the Starke County Planning Commission.
An update from the Starke County Prosecutor will also be given.
The joint session begins at 5:30 p.m. CT with a single session meeting of the Starke County Commissioners to follow.
The commissioners are expected to discuss the rezoning recommendations from the Starke County Planning Commission. Starke Solar, LLC requested rezoning certain parcels from residential to agriculture special use in the Bass Lake area for the potential installation of solar panels.
Territorial Engineering representatives will discuss the Starke County sidewalk project proposal and the commissioners will complete their list of appointments for the year.
