The Starke County Emergency Management Agency Advisory Board members will be taking a better look at two applications received for the empty Emergency Management Agency Director position.
Former Starke County EMA Director J. Nier submitted her resignation to the Starke County Commissioners on Sunday, October 25.
At the most recent joint meeting of the Starke County Council and Starke County Commissioners, Council President Dave Pearman said a meeting will soon be held with the board members to decide how to move forward. Pearman indicated some concern as the applicants do not have much experience with fire, EMS or police, but they will be reviewing those in a meeting.
The board members will consider a recommendation to the commissioners for hire.
