Another Nine COVID-19 Cases Reported in Pulaski County

The local area continues to report more COVID-19 cases. Another 19 cases were reported in Marshall County, according to Saturday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health. Pulaski County had nine new cases, its largest single-day increase in almost a month. Starke County reported just one new case.

The state as a whole reported 67 new COVID-19 deaths Saturday, with one of those dating back to early October. A total of 11,346 Hoosiers have died while positive for COVID-19, while 406 deaths are believed to be COVID-19 related but with no positive test.

The number of flu-related deaths reported by the Indiana Department of Health since the current flu season began in late September remains at three.

Meanwhile, the number of residents who’ve gotten the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine is up to 4,385 in Marshall County, 1,807 in Starke County, and 1,555 in Pulaski County, as of Saturday morning. Of those, 1,081 residents in Marshall County, 244 in Starke County, and 339 are now fully vaccinated.
