The planned closure of U.S. 35 in Downtown LaPorte has been postponed. INDOT says NIPSCO is planning to upgrade its lines above the highway. That will require the U.S. 35 bridge to close while work is taking place.
The closure had been scheduled for this coming Monday and Tuesday, but NIPSCO now expects it to take place sometime in March.
