Knox Issues Freeze Warning for Water Customers

The City of Knox has issued a Freeze Warning for its water customers. That means residents should leave their water running in a stream about the size of a pencil lead until February 24. City officials recommend using the bathtub faucet. Customers will be charged their average bill amount during this time.

The city also encourages residents to keep crawlspace doors and openings closed to help prevent drafts and protect water pipes. Residents with any questions can call the Knox Water Department at 574-772-3032 during normal business hours. Those with a water-related emergency should call the Starke County Sheriff’s Office at 574-772-3771.

The Town of North Judson has issued similar recommendations for its water customers.
