Knox to Hold Public Hearing on COVID-19 Response Program Application Tonight

The Knox City Council is expected to act on an application for more COVID-19 relief for local businesses tonight. A resolution authorizing the mayor to apply for funding through the state’s COVID-19 Response Program will be up for approval. The city plans to apply for $200,000 and commit a $10,000 local match, to add points to the application.

Residents will have a chance to weigh in on the application during a public hearing tonight at 6:30 at Knox City Hall. It will be followed by the council’s regular meeting at 7:00.
