The City of LaPorte has declared a snow emergency. From 7:00 p.m. Monday to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, vehicles may only park on the side of the street with odd-numbered property addresses, according to Mayor Tom Dermody.
“The police will have a right to ticket or tow your cars, but that’s not our goal,” he said. “So please, move your cars before 7:00 p.m. tonight.”
Dermody announced the emergency in a Facebook video Monday afternoon, after issuing an executive order.
