The preschool program will be offered to children again at the Oregon-Davis School Corporation.
Superintendent Bill Bennett said the school board took action to reestablish the program this week for the 2021-2022 school year. The preschool program was on hiatus for this school year due to lack of registration possibly due to COVID-19.
He commented that more information will be released this week with signups as early as next week.
“We’ll be offering an AM and PM class,” said Bennett. “For the first time, we are going to offer transportation for students to live within the district. We will also consider transportation to students outside the district, depending on their location to the school.”
The corporation does receive some preschool funding through students who participate in the JESSE Cooperative and through scholarships with the Starke County Community Foundation.
