The Starke County Youth Club’s after-school and summer programs have gotten a boost, thanks to a local bank. The youth club says it’s gotten a $2,500 donation from First National Bank of Monterey.
Executive Director Irene Szakonyi thanked the bank in a press release, saying the donation will go to help kids improve their math and language skills, learn to cope during adversity, and, ultimately, become responsible community members. The press release notes that the youth club has continued to engage children throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
