Two additional people in Marshall County have died of COVID-19, according to Monday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. That brings the total number of deaths in Marshall County to 99.
The state noted 58 more COVID-19 deaths in the state in Monday’s report.
There were 1,065 more people in the state diagnosed with COVID-19 with seven new cases in Marshall County, two more cases in Starke County and four new cases in Pulaski County. To date, 5,298 people in Marshall County have tested positive with COVID-19, 1,819 in Starke County and 1,026 in Pulaski County.
On the state’s school dashboard, 1,096 new student COVID-19 cases were reported from September 17 to February 5, 162 new teacher COVID-19 cases were reported from January 5 to February 5 and 193 new staff cases from December 11 to February 5.
Oregon-Davis Junior/Senior High School and Elementary School reported less than five student cases, Eastern Pulaski Elementary School had less than five new student and staff cases, West Central had less than five new student and teacher cases and Culver Elementary School had less than five new staff COVID-19 cases.

As of Monday, nearly 700,000 Hoosiers have received a first dose of vaccine, and 223,576 are fully vaccinated.
