Local Counties Continue to Report COVID-19 Cases in Single Digits

Local residents continue testing positive for COVID-19. Marshall County reported another seven cases, according to Thursday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health. Pulaski County had three new cases, while Starke County had two.

Another 878 cases were reported in the state, pushing the total to over 676,000 since the pandemic began. Fifteen deaths were added to the count, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths to 12,510.

The number of residents fully vaccinated is now up to 5,600 in Marshall County and 1,900 in Pulaski County, while Starke County is approaching 2,300. More than a quarter of all Hoosiers age 16 and older have gotten at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
