N.J.-S.P. School Board Approves Policy Updates, JESSE Agreement

The North Judson-San Pierre School Board recently finalized its latest round of policy updates. One stipulates that “student assessments cannot be used solely for placing students in grade levels or programs,” according to information provided by Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin.

Another prohibits state assessments from negatively impacting employee performance ratings. There are also more detailed definitions of “emotional support animal” and “therapy dog.” Zupin previously said that many of the updates recommended by policy consultant NEOLA are simply grammatical or technical changes.

The school board also renewed its annual special education agreement with the JESSE Cooperative and appointed John Reimbold to a four-year term on the North Judson-Wayne Township Public Library Board, according to meeting documents.
