Starke County Community Foundation Finds New Director of Development

The Starke County Community Foundation named a new director of development this week.

Jacque Ryan will serve in the position as she replaces Jessica Martinović who stepped down from the position in February. 

Ryan is no stranger to work at the Community Foundation as she has volunteered to be in ventures alongside the Foundation, which included her involvement with the Constellation of Starke Executive Committee in the Regional Stellar Communities effort in 2019, as well as the planning committee for The Hive Giving Circle.  Ryan has also helped the Foundation implement projects as art of its $100,000 Lilly Endowment, Inc. GIFT VII Grant. 

Before applying for the position, Jacque Ryan served on the volunteer board of directors but resigned so she could apply for her current position. 

Jacque graduated from Ball State University in 2017 and previously worked as a reporter at WKVI Radio and MAX 98.3 FM and recently served as editor of The Leader newspaper in Starke County.  She will now be working will be working with donors to help fulfill their charitable wishes in Starke County through the Starke County Community Foundation. She will also be responsible for increasing awareness of Community Foundation services and expanding the Community Foundation’s role in enhancing the quality of life in Starke County.

The Community Foundation has granted more than $8 million in grants and scholarships to students and charitable programs and projects in Starke County since 1996.
