West Central Continues Planning for HVAC Upgrades, Summer Projects

The West Central School Corporation continues planning for some facility upgrades. Superintendent Dan Zylstra says the school corporation is looking at using some of its COVID-19 stimulus money to upgrade its HVAC systems.

“So we are advertising for specific HVAC improvements, so we can get some bids before we decide exactly what we’re going to do,” Zylstra explains.

Meanwhile, plans are also moving ahead for some summer projects. Zylstra says West Central will be adding more security cameras with Secured School Safety Grant funding. Painting work is also planned, along with new carpeting at the elementary school and remodeling the health occupation room at the high school.
