A lack of cemetery mowing bids recently drew some concern from the Winamac Town Council. The lone bid came from Dan’s Mowing, which has handled the service for the past few years.
The cost would remain the same as last year, at $2,500 per mow. Down to Earth would handle spraying for $325 per time.
Town Manager Brad Zellers said a second mowing company had expressed interest but never turned in a bid. Council members Tom Murray and Alvin Parish wanted to reject the bid and re-advertise, but their motion was voted down three-to-two.
Council members agreed to let Zellers review Dan’s Mowing’s bid before they give their final approval.
