This year’s Winamac Town Park cleanup day is scheduled for Saturday, April 24. The date was set by the town’s park board earlier this month.
“For that day, we usually start at eight or nine o’clock in the morning,” Park Board President Chris Schramm explained. “Several people donate their trucks and trailers, and we pick up sticks and any small projects. I know we’ve planted trees in the past.” Schramm noted that local landscaping businesses and other organizations often chip in to help.
In other business, the Winamac Park Board’s two newest members, Renee Calabrese and Dan Murphy, officially took their oaths of office.
