A fatal crash had U.S. 35 closed north of LaPorte for hours Monday afternoon. It happened in the 3900 block of North U.S. 35, according to a LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.
As of about noon, the highway was closed in both directions between Schultz Road and County Road 400 West. Deputies reported that U.S. 35 had fully reopened, just after 3:30 p.m.
