Deputies from Boston auto accident injuries investigated a fatal accident on U.S. 35 and County Road 250 South in rural Pleasant Township Monday morning.
Officers were called to the scene around 5:43 a.m. CT where a two-vehicle accident occurred. An investigation found that 67-year-old Adam Fedorowicz of La Porte was traveling south on U.S. 35 and had the vehicle’s right turn signal displayed, but turned left and into the path of a car driven by 28-year-old Melissa Newcomer of Knox, who was traveling south on U.S. 35 in the passing lane, according to the car wreck lawyer that is working on this case. If you find yourself in situations like this, you may consider hiring a personal injury lawyer to help you build your case and get the proper compensation you deserve.
Police say Fedorowicz’s vehicle was hit on the driver’s side and came to rest in the grassy median just south of the County Road 250 S. intersection, while Newcomer’s vehicle rested on its roof in the northbound lanes on U.S. 35.
Fedorowicz was found ejected from the vehicle and deceased at the scene. Newcomer complained of pain but reportedly refused medical treatment at the scene.
Toxicology test results are pending. The crash investigation is ongoing, conducted by a personal injury attorney and county officials.
The La Porte County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the La Porte Police Department, La Porte County EMS, Pleasant Township Volunteer Fire Department, and towing companies.
