The Town of North Judson is once again making it easier for residents to clean up their properties this weekend. Town Marshal Kelly Fisher is coordinating a spring cleanup event.
“If you have tires, you can contact the company that does it,” she explained during last week’s town council meeting. “They’ll take the tires for, like, a fee per tire. They’ll take pretty much everything except garbage. And we do that all weekend, and another thing that we’re going to try this year is the dumpster will be sitting over here on the town property like they do, and then also, there’ll be a truck that’s going to go up and down every street for the people that have some kind of excuse they can’t get it hauled over here.”
Fisher said she’s been working to make contact with various homes that have items that need to be addressed. Those with questions can call Fisher at 574-806-5907.
Meanwhile, North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Chief Joe Leszek said the fire department’s auxiliary will have its training house set up at the fire station tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
