North Judson, Winamac Approve Cemetery Mowing Bids

North Judson and Winamac are both keeping their current cemetery mowing contractors for another year, after no other companies submitted bids. The North Judson Town Council Monday officially hired TJ’s Lawn Care to mow and maintain Highland and Pioneer cemeteries for 2021.

It’ll cost $15,000 for 10 mows, according to Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe. Town and company officials both expressed satisfaction with the working relationship.

Meanwhile, the Winamac Town Council recently accepted a bid from Dan’s Mowing for $2,500 per mow. Town Manager Brad Zellers said all the necessary documents were included, and Dan Vanaman clarified that the cost of having Down to Earth do the spraying would be included in the overall mowing cost.
