Officials Warn of COVID-19 Vaccine Survey Scam

A new scam is targeting residents who have received their COVID-19 vaccine.

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita and State Health Commissioner Dr. Kristina Box warn Hoosiers that unsolicited emails and text messages are being sent to people asking to complete a survey about Pfizer, Moderna, or the AstraZeneca vaccine.  As a reward for completing the survey, people are offered a free product, but are asked to pay shipping and handling.  The fee is collected, but the free product is never sent.

Consumers are reminded that financial, medical or personal information should not be given to anyone claiming to offer money or gifts in exchange for participation in a COVID-19 vaccine survey.  Do not open an attachment from an unknown source or call a number in an email or text.
