Pulaski Health Officer Recommends Requiring Masks in Government Buildings, Medical Facilities

Pulaski County appears likely to follow the state’s lead when it comes to face mask requirements. Nathan Origer with the county’s Incident Management Team shared some of County Health Officer Dr. Rex Allman’s recommendations with the county commissioners Monday.

“His guidance is that we continue requiring them in county buildings, at county meetings, but follow the governor’s lead and make it advisory in the general public, rather than trying to police a mandate in the general public,” Origer said. “That advice is also going out to the hospital, medical facilities, that they continue requiring them, and private businesses, of course, have the right to require them of their patrons.” Consider contacting medical clinic parramatta for any inquiry you may have regarding your health.

Origer also reported that a mass vaccination event planned for Saturday is fully booked with 750 people signed up. Now, health officials are working to set up vaccination events for some of Pulaski County’s larger employers. Origer said COVID-19 testing is still available in Star City, but the Health Department was seeking guidance from the state on how long that site should remain open.
