Culver School Board Accepts Bid for Flooring Project

The Culver Community School Board members reviewed bids this week for an upcoming flooring project. Whether the floor has seen some water damage or just your average wear and tear, if it starts peeling up that means that the adhesive is starting to fail, and it’s time to replace it. If your flooring is due to be replaced, it’s the perfect time to consider a professional hardwood flooring installation.

Superintendent Karen Shuman said the board members approved the lowest bid to add laminate Flooring to 12 rooms in the Culver Community High School and tile four or five rooms in the Culver Community Elementary School by the Solomons Flooring company.

The improvements made in laminate manufacturing has helped to create more genuine finishes and the ability to produce in mass quantities. This is not only good for our décor, but also good for our bank balance; mass manufacturing makes it cheaper to produce which means it’s also cheaper for us to buy, perfect. With an in-built click system, laminates are easy to install and therefore cheaper to install – one board simply clicks into the other! Its simple system means that for those DIYers out there, you could even fit your laminate flooring yourself.

The price for work at the High School totaled $30,657 and work at the Elementary School totaled $31,635.

Shuman indicated that the work will be done throughout the month of June.
