The Starke County Fair will get some extra help returning from last year’s cancellation. The 4-H and Starke County Fair Board was the recipient of last month’s $1,000 pop-up grant from the Starke County Community Foundation.

Each month this year, the foundation is presenting a surprise grant to a local nonprofit group, in celebration of its 25th anniversary. 4-H Council Vice President Erin Tunis says the money will help them give kids the best 4-H experience they can, according to a community foundation press release.

A surprise check presentation took place last week at the Starke County Community Foundation Office.
