COVID-19 relief should soon start rolling in for Winamac businesses. Any business that applied for COVID-19 Response Program funding through the town will get it, according to Town Manager Brad Zellers. Clerk-Treasurer Kendra Craft recently told the town council that she expects final approval from the state by early July, and the businesses will be able to get their checks.
Winamac was awarded about $150,000 to provide grants to small businesses. As part of the process, council members approved the required agreement for professional grant administration services during this month’s meeting. That cost was figured into the town’s grant from the state.
