Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating, after a body was discovered in Lake Michigan Tuesday afternoon. Officers say the Coast Guard recovered the body of an unidentified male just offshore from the Michigan City Lighthouse around 4:30 p.m.
The victim is described as a white or Hispanic male with dark hair, wearing dark-colored shorts and white tennis shoes. Anyone with information is asked to call the Indiana Conservation Officers Central Dispatch Center at 812-837-9536.
Conservation Officers and the LaPorte County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate.
