Eastern Pulaski Policy Overhaul Moving Forward

The Eastern Pulaski Community School Corporation’s policy overhaul is almost complete. “Until now, Eastern Pulaski administration had been writing our own policies and attempting to keep them updated as new laws and regulations took place,” Superintendent Dara Chezem explains. “So in order to avoid being out of compliance, the school board voted last August to enter into a partnership with NEOLA.”

Chezem says that since then, a committee including three school board members has been going through all of NEOLA’s policies and selecting those that meet the needs of Eastern Pulaski. Those policies were presented on first reading during last month’s board meeting. They’ll be up for final approval on Monday, along with the updated student and staff handbooks.
