Another seven COVID-19 cases were reported in Marshall County Friday. Pulaski County had another three, according to the Indiana Department of Health. The state as a whole is reporting its highest seven-day positivity rate since late May.
When it comes to the vaccination rate, Starke County continues to lag behind its neighbors. Just over a third of Starke County residents age 12 and up are fully vaccinated, compared to just over 41 percent in Pulaski County and almost 42 percent in Marshall County.
When those numbers are broken down by ZIP code, the Culver and San Pierre areas have some of the highest vaccination rates locally, at over 50 percent. Nearby Hanna is higher still, at almost 68 percent. The local ZIP codes with the lowest vaccination rates are the Francesville, Grovertown, and Medaryville areas, which all remain under 30 percent.
