A new hire for the Knox City Police Department will be up for approval during a special board of works meeting this morning. An emergency hearing will be held on 401 West Bender Street, and board members will consider a final payment to Thieneman Construction.
The city’s been withholding $7,000 for the Wastewater Treatment Plant project, since a concrete mishap meant the basement wall wasn’t able to be built according to the original specifications. The city and Thieneman have been negotiating the terms of a maintenance bond for the past four months.
This morning’s special Knox Board of Works meeting starts at 9:30 at Knox City Hall.
