Marshall, Starke, and Pulaski counties continue to see a low level of COVID-19 spread. All three counties remain in the blue on the Indiana Department of Health’s county metrics map.
But the number of counties coded yellow is creeping back up, going from six last week to 17 this week. The map also has its first orange county in several weeks, with Warren County seeing a higher level of community spread.
Marshall County had four new cases, according to Wednesday’s report, while Pulaski County had one. Of the more than 1,200 total cases that Pulaski County has had, five of those were confirmed to be the Alpha variant, according to the incident management team’s update to the county commissioners Tuesday.
No new positive cases or deaths were reported this week in any of Marshall, Starke, or Pulaski counties’ long-term care facilities.
