The North Judson Town Council members reviewed three quotes to remove four trees in Norwayne Field and some stump grinding in the park.
North Judson Town Councilman Matt Brewer said Leroy’s Tree Service, LLC provided a quote of $14,500 that includes the complete removal of four trees in Norwayne Field with stump grinding and the removal of two sassafras. There would be stump grinding at the park.
Quotes were also reviewed from Practical Tree Service and C&J Affordable Tree Service. Their quotes were lower, but the council members felt that they would get the most out of the service from Leroy’s Tree Service in the quote.
In the end, the council approved the quote from Leroy’s Tree Service.
Brewer said the work could be done in the next couple of weeks. It will be done by the time the new fencing is set to be installed. There is a plan to plant new trees once the fence is installed.
