The Starke County Council members discussed the dissolution of the TIF District that involved the former SYSCO property.
Auditor Rachel Oesterreich explained last week that the Redevelopment Commission for the TIF District was disbanded in 2020, but the Starke County Council never formally voted on the dissolution of the TIF District. Councilman Brad Hazelton commented that he thought the process was already complete, but with Oesterreich’s review of previous meetings minutes she could not find the official action.
The council members voted unanimously to dissolve the SYSCO TIF District.
