Eastern Pulaski School Board Considering New Softball Field

The Eastern Pulaski Community School Corporation continues to explore the idea of putting a softball field on its campus. The school board recently agreed to let Superintendent Dara Chezem seek proposals from potential contractors.

She says the idea has been discussed since the school corporation’s 2015 building project, and there’s still money left over from it. “With the softball field being at the park, it’s worked out well, but there’s also been discussion as to bringing it all here on campus,” she explains. “And so we are just trying to determine whether the scope of that project is something that we could use the project money on, and so the next step is to actually get some bids in place to know.”

Chezem says the school board also accepted the donation of a bench from the class of 1961, in recognition of its 60th anniversary.
