Hamlet Park Board Looking at Security Camera Updates

The Town of Hamlet may soon be updating the Town Park’s security cameras. The town recently terminated the maintenance contract on the current equipment, and the park board Wednesday discussed the possibility of replacing the system entirely.

Board President Dave Kesvormas said he’s had success with the Arlo system. “With that system, you can have, I think, eight cameras on that system,” he noted. “This stuff gets so far outdated really quick. I think the lifespan of this setup would be the Arlo 3s would probably be another two to three years. It’s 2K.”

Clerk-Treasurer Kristina Pitts said there should be enough money left in the park budget. She offered to continue looking into prices.
