The City of Knox is adding a full-time director of parks and recreation. The city council voted to establish the new position earlier this month, according to draft meeting minutes.
Mayor Dennis Estok recently told the city’s redevelopment commission that Knox is moving to the next stage, when it comes to organizing programs at the park. “We want activities for not only the kids because the kids got a lot,” he said. “We want some things to do that matches all – kids can play it, adults can play it, senior citizens can play it.”
