The City of Knox is reminding residents of the new trash and recycling pickup procedures. Starting this week, Republic Services will be handling those services, following the city’s switch from Waste Management.
Those living west of U.S. 35 will have their garbage picked up every Thursday and their recycling picked up every other Thursday. Those east of U.S. 35 will have their garbage picked up every Friday and their recycling picked up every other Thursday. Residents should place their trash and recycling toters in the same location as they previously did.
Those who still have their green Waste Management recycling carts are asked to leave their empty carts out for pickup as soon as possible.
