Pulaski Memorial Hospital Tightens Visitor Restrictions

Pulaski Memorial Hospital is tightening its visitor restrictions, amid what it calls a “rapid increase of cases and hospitalizations from the Delta variant.”

The hospital will only allow visitors that are medically necessary, according to a hospital Facebook post. Emergency room and OB patients may only have one adult support person, while pediatric patients may only have one parent or guardian present at a time.

Anyone entering the hospital will have to have their temperature taken and will be required to wear a mask. Pulaski Memorial Hospital’s main entrance will be closed nights and weekends; visitors will have to check in at the emergency room.

Hospital officials say many recent COVID-19 cases and almost all hospitalizations and deaths are among those who are unvaccinated.
