Eastern Pulaski Superintendent Encourages Completion of Online Enrollment Prior to ADM Day

The Average Daily Membership Day is set for Friday, September 17 and Eastern Pulaski School Corporation Superintendent Dara Chezem encourages students who have not completed the online enrollment process to do so.

“Part of that process is to upload an address verification,” explained Chezem.  “If those families don’t upload that verification by Friday, we are not able to turn them in for our enrollment.”

The enrollment count determines the amount of state funding allocated for the corporation.

The address verification element is a new requirement from the State and Chezem said an effort is being made to get that information from a few students before Friday’s date.

As it currently stands, the enrollment at Eastern Pulaski School Corporation is up 40 students, but the official count will be Friday.

In other business, Chezem told the Eastern Pulaski School Board that the Indiana Department of Education approved the corporation’s waiver request for the 180 day requirement for the school year.  She said she’s not requesting a change in the school calendar, but the waiver provides the corporation flexibility in case it is needed during the year.
