The Knox City Council members are expected to adopt the 2022 budget when they meet tonight.
A public hearing held during a previous meeting gathered no public comments. The proposed budget totals just over $3.1 million, with a General Fund of almost $1.6 million, a Motor Vehicle Highway Fund of almost $402,000, and an Economic Development Income Tax Fund of almost $616,000.
The council members will also consider readings on the 2021 salary ordinance.
A request for a handicapped parking spot at the corner of Pearl and Washington Streets will be presented tonight followed by comments by Clerk-Treasurer Cyndi Kidder and Mayor Dennis Estok.
The Knox City Council will meet at 6 p.m. CT at Knox City Hall at 101 W. Washington Street.
